Would be very exciting indeed

One of the medium sized but better known agencies told a client that they expect the next batch to go through June 16th. This was emailed from the person's real email address, not a freebie account, which gives it some credibility (i.e. not a prankster). Still, this falls into that "I'm afraid to believe this" category. We've gone from hearing "maybe only half of May 31st" to "all the way to June 16th". Usually rumors work the other way, start out good and then get progressively worse. If they get through June 16th then the 12 month thing could happen.

I really hope this is true! What exciting news! Now if they would just mail them!

I am not with GWC but I would love to hear a stork alert from them. They are usually right! Anyone from GWC with any news?

No news from GWCA, just an update this morning saying the stork hasn't flown yet and still no confirmation on what dates will be included. Next update expected tomorrow. With a 6/09 LID, I'm guarding my heart and going with the 6th/16th typo theory until I know more.

it worries me just a bit that that biggie agency, the one that begins with a 'c', told their people that they expected this batch to go to through the first week of june, and they werent sure if it would go beyond that. the last bit of that sentence does offer some hope, but i am sure that this biggie agency has LIDS every damn day between the 3rd and the 16th so that would not explain why they predicted the first week of june, rather than the first 2 weeks.

i certainly hope its true though!

The only rumor I'm putting a lot of stock in at this point is the one that says through June 3rd.

I'm putting this out there because there were a few things about the email that pointed to it not being a prank email. But as I said, it is in my "afraid to believe" category.

As for how this might differ from something said last week by another agency - maybe the CCAA got lots of baby paperwork in since then. It is possible. Especially with the meeting at the beginning of the month.

I would LOVE it if this is true, but I'm not ready to hang my hat on it yet.

I received an email from someone else at the same agency. The wording was apparently that they "hoped" to see referrals through the 16th.

Not a typo, not a sure thing.

And thank you very much for the second source on this one.

I believe said biggie agency has always or almost always left the "through" date a bit vague because they understand that anything could happen. I've always respected the fact that they are cautiously optimistic.

Below is where this rumor has come from so you be the judge of what this means. This is my agency (medium one) saying this, but since no other agencies have said this, I have no idea whether or not to think there is still a chance they could go to the 16th. see clip of email below:

We are hoping that the next batch of referrals will cover Dossiers logged in between June 1-16 2005. If this happens, (an “if” is the operative word), we could possibly expect about 18 referrals by the end of April. Of course, it is difficult to anticipate how the
CCAA will determine the cut off dates. We will only know for certain when the actual referrals are in our office.

By the way, my agency had no May 31st LIDs

michelle...thanks for sharing with us.
my only concern, like yours, is the 'if' and also "we are hoping". the agency we're using (the 'C' agency) has said "we believe this next group will include 5/31 and the first week of June..." and they say they are unsure of beyond that. I feel that the CCAA could be informing the agencies of what they're getting sometime before they go to send them out so when the agencies do get the referrals, they check them to make sure everyone was included that should've been. (someone correct me if not so, i'm just guessing about that).
That's where I'm wondering about the difference between "hoping" to get and "believing" will be getting. I agree though that an agency sure does ask for it if they state something like that and it is not close to occurring. perhaps that's the difference between being conservative and not-so-much???

My agency is normally very conservative and doesn't give us any information about referrals until they receive them so this whole email from them this month has really baffled me. I supposed I should just give them a call and see what they are basing this "hoping" on. It is definitely a little bizarre that they included that they are hoping through the 16th. I mean, heck, why not hope all the way through July or August sigh lol. Ok, can you tell I've officially lost my mind ??? Anyway, I think tomorrow I will call my coordinator and see if I can get to the bottom of this email. I will try to share whether this 16th date is really a possibility. Like everyone else, this possibility blows me out of the water but with all the other rumors, I've basically just resigned myself that it can't be right. I'll let you know tomorrow if I can get anymore info.

For what it's worth, we used the "C" agency, and their reports were almost always spot-on. In other words, I would be very comfortable with "the first week of June" simply because the "C" agency is saying so, but wouldn't get my hopes up any further than that--if they only say "maybe", that usually means "no". Just my experience with them...they're very cautious, and word their updates very very precisely.

Except that the "C" agency reported last month that referrals were through May 31 and that turned out to be wrong (I'm guessing they didn't have any LIDs for that date so it didn't matter too much to them)
