Back to registered posting

I think we've garnered about all we can on the rumor front from anon posting, so it's time to turn it off. I'll turn anon posting on one evening to see what we can get from the people that aren't online during the day. As always I thank all of you who have expressed your thoughts and opinions nicely - even those that I don't agree with. Or make that especially those that I don't agree with. I have a big respect for civility.

Hi,
just wanted to say something in regards to one of stephanie's posts under the 'Chitchat' section.

Don't forget us guys! While us guys...at least I...deal with things alittle differently sometimes, I've always looked forward to the day I'd be a father. And, after several years of hoping and trying with no results, I couldn't be more eager and anxious to meet my daughter in China. It's been fun and sometimes frustrating to read things that appear here, but that's what this is all about though...everyone dealing with the wait and sharing info, different views, and of course support.

Hang in there...there are beautiful children waiting for us. :)

I love the days that we have anon posting turned on - I really enjoy hearing from all of you, and I love the sense of community we have.

Yes, there is frustration. Of course there is frustration. Why wouldn't we be a tad bit on the anxious side, we are waiting for our children, after all. One of the biggest events to happen in our lives, and we have no control over the process from here on out. We go where we are told, when we are told, and stay there for as long as we are told. And until then, we wait and wait and wait, with no input on how much longer we may need to wait. Yeah, it's frustrating. But, it's what we signed up for, so we wait, and then we go where we are told to go as soon as they say we can.

I will be honest that the "I am more deserving than you are" and the "I have hurt more you you have" conversations yesterday were both troubling to me. I know that we all want our kids, but.. c'mon. I did understand that some of you were being facetious, but many of you seemed quite serious.

All in all though, I feel very lucky to have readers who are so nice and articulate and sharing. Thanks to all of you for being out there in cyberland, and hopefully together we can get an idea of what the wait might do, and when we might finally have our babies in our arms.

Does anyone have any thoughts about when the Olympics will affect the travel? I am assuming it will be right around when the Olympics are, but since that's not until 2008, are people LID now (late March) ok?
