Several things

  • There is a spreadsheet floating around - it shows number of dossiers for each LID date for one of the big agencies. This agency has a very small number of May 31st LID's, but I don't really think that means anything. Most of the of the numbers closely mirror the ratios from our numerous polls - but for those time frames that don't, I don't think it means anything. In statistics you need a big sample, not a single source sample. Flip a coin four or six or eight times and it's probably not going to be 50/50 - flip it 100 times and it will be much closer.
  • Apparently CCAI has posted that they don't know what the time frames are going to do. I'm pretty sure they are one of the agencies that has been holding onto the 10 to 12 month thing, so this doesn't bode well. I respect their honesty, though.
  • I haven't seen anything else that might point to the CCAA getting a batch out sooner since the last batch was so small. Have ya'll seen anything that might point to that?
  • Rumors are few and far between. I'm going to turn anon posting on for a bit. Let's keep the rumors to this thread, I'll open another one up as a free for all.

This was posted on the July DTC board tonight (without a signature or agency info):

"I'm sorry but my agency has informed us that they are expecting a
batch of referrals that will cover May31. I believe they mean only 1
day of referrals will be coming. Hopefully most of June will come the
end of April or early May.
Hang in there!"

Our agencie's facilitator in China contacted CCAA and asked about wait times. This is what she said, "I talked with one of the directors at CCAA, asking whether CCAA extends or will extend the wait time for referrals to 18 months. The director said CCAA
did not set up the waiting period for 18 months. The director also said from the present situation, the wait time for referrals is about 10 months (CCAA gave the families referrals or is working on the referrals for the families
whose dossiers have the log-in dates at the end of May, 2005), but this period would be extended, it all depends on how many children's dossiers are now available in CCAA waiting for matching. And the numbers of children's dossiers change from time to time. The director said if CCAA decides to extend the wait period to 18 months, they will send out the notice about it
to all adoption agencies at the same time."

Where on the CCAA website does it state that they will keep the wait around 12 months? I've seen a few people post this and I'm unable to find it. Is there any such information on the CCAA website regarding an actual wait time (I've seen the general statement made in Nov 2005 regarding length of time but it doesn't state any actual timeframes).
