Two emails

The first email did not disclose the name of the agency. This agency said that the CCAA is "just now" starting the June dossiers. (This conflicts with reports that they were started last week). The agency said that the earliest 7/4 LIDs should hope for would be a late May referral, and that it could possibly be the end of June. The second email said that GWCA has informed them that the timeline is lengthening to 12 months and that the CCAA is saying it could go beyond. I think we're about to go into the "conflicting stories" portion of the month. I am convinced that they are going to do more than just 5/31 this time. We have multiple sources saying that they are working on June now, and we still have a couple of weeks until referral. If you look at our June LID Poll, this bodes well. I'm just going to keep my focus on that right now.

I'm with you, Lee, that would be better than what I'm expecting. My best GUESS right now is April 28 (referrals thru June 14) with the next batch coming on June 2 (referrals thru June 30). This would put the July referrals beginning in July.

A couple of people have wondered if the 7/4 was a typo. No, it was not a typo.

I have also been on the "next month we'll know more" train for too many months. But, the thing is, this is the first time we've had the kind of data that we have, ahead of time.

I do think that this time we will know more once we see what they can do.

Someone in the Single Adopt China group posted that WACAP just sent out a letter today telling their clients to expect an 18 month wait. Others posted, in response, stating that their agencies said to expect anywhere from 10-12 months.

Hey all...just wanted to say that while I'm seeing everyone posting that some agencies are saying "12 months" (LID to referral) while others are saying "18 months" I think that those of us with LIDs in July/Aug/Sept are going to be more around the 12 month time frame while families with LIDs in just the past couple months and those who are still in "paperchase" mode are the ones looking at the longer timeframe. Unless, of course, things get back on track and even out. Just a thought...

I hope I'm right as well! :)
At the beginning of the year, our agency gave everyone a "predicted" time-table based on what info they had from the CCAA at the time. So far it's been close. I too had been hoping and watching for a quicker referal time, but have grown tired of being "disappointed". Oh, I do look forward to the next group obviously, but at this point from what everyone's saying and what I've seen I feel the 12 month thing for us is going to be more realistic. We know we'll need to be re-fingerprinted...but our I-171H expires in December so (fingers crossed) we should be okay there.
I hope that your wait time won't end up being much longer than around 12 months as well. As a friend of mine who's adopted (domestically) told me...don't worry once you get that call the wait time will seem like a dream.

p.s. a delegation from the CCAA is paying a visit to our agency next tuesday and they sent out invitations to this "reception". My wife and I are going and are hoping that mayyyyybe some info will come out of it. (????)

I'll definitely pass anything on I find out from this 'reception'. I'm not holding my breath for any majour info and if any news is provided hopefully it's not "scripted" for our purposes...if you know what I mean. It would be nice though to hear a little something from the horse's mouth.
