Perspective

I'm sure most of you know that the south was ravaged by storms Friday and Saturday. We were not hit by a tornado, but we did have a tree fall through our roof and into a room. Our family is fine. No one was in the room at the time, but unfortunately the computer was. I'm pretty sure computers aren't supposed to get wet. I was advised to not turn it on, but to take it to a repair shop and let them see what they can do with it. The repair shop is being nice enough to let me get online for a few minutes. I'm pretty sure my day today is going to be spent dealing with insurance and contractors. Feel free to post your rumors here, and hopefully I'll be back soon. I do have a bit of a different perspective on life right now though. Maybe even a different perspective on the wait. More on that later. I'm going to miss the tree though. It was a great shade tree.

I am sorry for the damage to the house and the tree. But in my own life I realize that sometimes alittle perspective can go a long way!

Sorry to hear about the damage to your house, but I'm very glad no one got hurt!
Good news over here; we became parents of a little boy: Robin Guo Ning. He's deaf in one ear. I truly hope for everyone reading your Blog that the wait will not get longer. Good luck!
And if I hear any rumours in the Netherlands I will share them with you...

I'm very glad that you and your family are alright after the storm.

Someone asked for any rumors. I just read on APC that the CCAA director is here in the U.S.A. (we all heard that) He isn't returning to China until the 23rd. So, nothing will be mailed out until his return. At least we know when he is due back in China.

(I'm not the same chinamom that posted at 9:30 am)

debann2000.....I'm sorry I read your post wrong. I went back and reread it. I really want to know when he is due back. My understanding is that no referrals can go out until he signs them. Thanks for correcting me.

LID 5/31 received their referrals? Anyone else hearing this? It can't be just one agency, can it? This is huge news, reason for celebration!

Yes, Cathy, do tell. Who is your agency?

I read on the post just below this another post from Cathy P. She is with a small agency in the US that only sends dossier's every other month. Does that ring a bell with anyone?

my understanding was that the CCAA sends everything out at the same time, so if one agency got 5/31 referrals...shouldn't the others?

Is there anyone here who belongs to the May dtc group? Wouldn't someone have mentioned it there. I would also think if an agency did receive some referrals today that it would be OK to post the name of that agency. I haven't seen anything on APC about it. I would love to believe this.

I'm a member of the May DTC group, but no one posted anything about referrals coming. I even posted asking about this.

I don't get here as often as I'd like but am sorry to hear about your home and computer (it's almost a person, eh?). Luckily no one was hurt. It takes something like that to make you realize nothing else really matters at the end of the day. Hope you and your family can get back to normal soon. Glad you are all safe.
