Bad bad bad
I'm not paying attention to this one. I have my eyes firmly closed so I can't see it.
But, there is now a whisper that the next batch may just include part of the 31st, not all of it.
I refuse, absolutely refuse, to believe this.
But, it's out there, so I'm reporting it.

Oh please...somebody smack me! At this rate the next rumor is that the CCAA will be rescinding referrals from the 30th! Arrrrgghhhhh!
Yikes! At first I thought 2 weeks was bad...I'll take it at this point!

okay, now someone is just plain making shh...stuff up out there.
my gut feeling? not that it matters...5/31 through 6/10. there...i got it out of my system. hehe
La-la-la-la-la-la...I can't hear you!
Oh my goodness-how can that be??? I will not believe it----I refuse to hear it too lalalalalala :-)
Who starts these damn rumors??? This is me not listening....
Does anyone have a time-machine I can borrow? I'd like to wake up the day of the referral.....
My gosh, how bad can it get....
I'll join you: *Lalalalalalalala*!!
someone else please speak out and say that they feel this may 31st thing is a bunch of...
I mean really, now someone's saying that this next referral isn't going to be all of May 31st. Do we really believe this at all? honestly?
I don't know what to think. I really don't.
Everytime I hear a bad rumor and think "that can't possibly be true", it is.
So I am not saying that this time.
Well Maria - if they suddenly start doing whole months when they get to 12 or 13 months then I guess we'll know it was intentional.
Soooooo, let me get this straight; the CCAA is currently 21 days away from my LID of June 20th. If this rumor is true that would mean 5-6 weeks after the last referral batch, they would STILL in fact be 21 days away from my LID?
If it weren't so damn painful, it would almost - ALMOST be humorous.
So my remaing question would be....WHAT THE HELL?
One thing I do think is a little irresponsible, and I wonder what you all think, is that the agencies by and large haven't changed their literature to reflect the true wait and uncertainty of the china program at this time. I have been looking, and seen some that still say 6 - 8months, I know one fairly big one right now, telling their new people 9 - 10 months. Is there some forum where we could implore the agencies to be more realistic with their time frames, or the uncertainty of them. Just wondering what you all thought. I know that my SW told me clearly that the time frames fluctuate dramatcially, and just because it was showing 5 - 6 months when we started in Jan 2005 - who knows. But I don't think my agency was as clear and if they aren't updating their people appropriately right now, WOW! Are they in for a surprise, unless they read this website. But realistically, many won't until it gets closer to time.
FWIW - two people with 5/31 LID's have emailed me that their agency has warned them they may or may not be in the next batch.
Neither told me their agency, so I don't know if this is the same agency telling them this or not.
It would be interesting to know if this is coming from one agency or two.
I have no idea what we are going to see this next time. I had originally made a prediction that it would cover at least a few days of June because of the rumors that they are working on June already... but now, I just don't know what to think.
Right, agencies have been able to hide behind the word CURRENT for a while, they were all saying ' the current wait time is: 8/9/10 months' all the while knowing that it was certain to go to 12+ very soon after...
Emanual (and most everyone else on this thread) - I agree it is irresponsible for agencies to hide behind the "current" wait time.
Meghan - my email is on the right side, very bottom of the links section, where it says "email me". And I have said before that if you ask me to not name your agency I will not. If someone else emails me the same info saying it is okay to name the agency, I've been torn about that one, because I don't want the first person to think I didn't do what they said, so I haven't been naming it in that case. But, it is nice to know the agency being discussed so I can know if one agency is saying something or if multiple agencies are saying it.
Another 5/31 person got an email from their agency that they are next.
I have just had it with this no information thing. The CCAA said they'd go from 10 - 12 months, well, we are at that now. Is anyone pressing their agencies to press the CCAA for information. I mean, just a general update straight from the horses mouth: Either, this is what it is going to look like for a while, or once we hit 12 months, we will generally sustain it, would be gold. Now there's a letter writing campaign I can get behind. All the agencies boast ties with the CCAA - prove it.
Meghan - what browser are you using? I've checked the site out in IE and Firefox and it's formatted fine in both of those.
Is the right column on the bottom for anyone else?
someone on another section of this blog said that they read a post on a site that someone's agency (i'm reverting to not using agency names for now again i guess) told them they expected their june 2nd and june 3rd referrals this next time around, but couldn't say much beyond that.
Does this mean the agency knows something more than they're letting on by saying they are "expecting" (read into that what you will) their 6/2 and 6/3 referrals in a few weeks when the next group goes out...?
I was told by our agency today (who had been telling us the wait was 10 months) that we are now at an 11 month wait. Just a few weeks ago they said they were confident in 10 months. Some news must have been passed down to the agencies. They said they would be sending out an official email to their clients shortly.
