- Someone in Canada with a 7/7 LID was told by their agency that they were "guessing" they would get their referral in early July.
- Several people with June 2nd LID's have been told they are in the next batch.
- People with 6/10 LID's from one agency were told there is a 50/50 chance they could be next.
- Someone from Spain posted that two agencies are now stating the 5/30 number and she wasn't looking at it as a rumor, but as fact.

I have read that one of the spain agencies who reported a May 30 cut of is ANDENI. I went to their website and, if it were fact, shouldn't it have been posted there? There is nothing stating to that effect (May 30 cut off) on their website, anywhere that I am able to locate! In fact, under the "news" section they still indicate that they do NOT know the cut off or when referrals will come and to be "patient". Carole

They don't post everything on the site, much of the Spain stuff comes from people who live in Spain, and who are told this information by the agency.
We have been told the CCAA will only do 15oo referrals per month. Any other dossiers are then moved to the next month. Any idea how many referrals went out in May? Ha HA!!
I was told a few weeks ago by my coordinator that I should be prepared because"the next batch of referrals had a good chance of only going through the end of May..." We are LID 6/3 and with a big, well-known agency. But she had no concrete numbers then.
The numbers for the Spain rumour of a May 30th cut off don't add up. According to the Washington Post article Americans adopted 8,000 babies from China last year which is roughly 80% of all children adopted from China. This means the CCAA sent out 833 referals per month last year.

Our agency expects referrals any day now....and feel very confident we are included...LID: May 31st
Our agency is also expecting referrals any day now, perhaps more toward the end of March AND expect their next long-in group of 6/3 to be included as well.
Someone on the July DTC board insists that there were 5,100 dossiers in May according to their agency. Not a typo, they insist it was 5,100. Who knows?
I hate to pass this on, but someone on the APC board posted that her agency (she didn't say which one) said the next referrals will be only through May 30th. Fingers crossed that the agency is wrong.
Very weird rumor. Someone on one of the Spain boards is claiming that their agency told them that the cut-off for Spain is May 30th but for the US is June 10th. I don't know how credible this is, since I've never heard of different cut-offs for different countries.
the 10:12pm poster's rumor actually makes some sense to me. has anyone ascertained that there are Spanish folks with Lids in early june? is it possible that there are none, and that the last spanish lids are 5/30?

Hello from Spain.Bad news.A Spanish agency says to have spoken with the CCAA and that only it comes until May 30. This is exasperating.

Our agency (large, well-known) is expecting referrals soon and their next LID is 5/31 so they at least have to go through to the end of May. After last month, I place little stock in the Spain rumors.
Our agency has just sent us an e-mail verifying the 5/30 cut off rumor. They said that CCAA has said that 5/31 LID has over 400 dossiers. We have missed the cut off by one day! I think it's straight jacket time.

why won't anyone ever post what agency they are with????????? it makes it hard to buy into what you say! If it's good news or bad. I know that there is some sensitivity to putting your agency's name out there -- but if they are are willing to go out on a limb and tell you something (that seemed initially to be so ridiculous) like only 3 days of referrals (the bad) or all of June (the good), then they risk having their name out there. wouldn't this be a good way to start filtering good rumors from bad? If you heard something from your agency, please post their name and leave yours as anonymous (on this board). Just my .02 (sorry - a little depressed today!)
This sucks......It was just confirmed on the Bethany Boards that the cut off is 5/31. Here is what was said....

Did I say this sucks? We are LID 6/29....Now I got to beleive that if they only did 6 days, then we won't get our referal until the end of June.....
Oh I forgot more good news.....On the June Boards, someone from Holt had the following info....
"Looks like things are not going to speed up any time soon. In fact
the word coming out of CCAA according to my agency is it will get slower. China is very meticulous about how they do their paperwork and getting thier babies paper ready for adoption and this takes time. With the increase in dossiers this just makes the wait longer. She said the six months it was taking was the shortest time ever and pretty unrealistic to stay that short. In the past it has averaged around fifteen months. If only we had known this from the beginning it would have helped. But now all we can do is be resigned that they are probably not going to start referring whole months again. We have a late LID of June 27 so she thought we could get a referral in June."
