Rumors. Finally.

  • One of the large agencies notified their clients that they believe the CCAA is working on their next batch of referrals which they believe includes May 31 and the first week of June LID's. They say they have no further information as to whether more June dates will be included.
  • Another of the big agencies sent an email to their clients saying they expect the CCAA to send referral at the end of next week. This agency did not know which dates would be covered.
  • And yet another of the big agencies sends out a hard copy newsletter via snail mail. In this newsletter, they make the statement that the "number of referrals released each month has decreased"

Any clue on whether they mean " a week of June" or what is the first calender week of June that would only include June 1-3.

-saw the info when I checked the website for my agency (#1). My assumption is June 1-3...my hope is somewhere into the following week. (it would keep that "half month" or two week thing some-what on track) But...we'll see what we see I suppose. Everyone cross fingers...toes...eyes...whatever works. :)

if they really only do the first 'week' of june, i.e. thurs. june 1 and friday june 2, thats 3 days worth of lids again. pretty lame, but its amazing how low our expectations have gotten. after expecting only may 31, 2 extra days sounds like a gift... sometimes i think this a giant conspiracy to mess with our heads!

canukmom - when they instituted the quota last time we had rumors for a couple of months, and then knew for sure about (I think) 6 weeks ahead of time that the November dossiers would be the last ones to get in under the quota. Starting in December agencies were restricted as to how many dossiers they could submit, so waiting lists were started at the agencies. It did not effect people who were already DTC.

Usually, when a country shuts down to international adoptions then that's it. If your dossier is already there then you're just SOL.

Would someone refresh my memory and tell me who is in the Review Room? With all the speculation about the new guidelines, I'm anxious to know if If 'passed'.
I'm happy to hear there is a new rumor circulating that includes some of June.

I just got my LID today, not that this helps anything, but my agency led me to understand that it usually only gets LIDs when it gets referrals. So either someone over there (China) is doing extra work sending letters abou LIDs seperately or things may be moving.
I'm DTC 3/10, LID 3/27. And very excited about it anyway, wait or no wait :)

canukmom-
I was in the Belarus program when it shut down. I had my official referral and was supposed to travel at that time. Not only were we SOL, the people who were in country at the time got sent home with no babies.

Dawn-
CCAA still shows on their site that they've reviewed apps through Aug31...guessing they're still on September. maybe they're already working on Oct?

I know, a month ago I would have been so depressed about 4 days but after the "part of May 31" rumors, 4 days is enough to get me excited. Kind of pitiful huh?

DTC to LID for me was 19 days DTC Feb 10, LID March 1. I found out less than a month after we became LID and we are will an extremely small agency. Maybe 5-7 dossiers a month.

So, I don't think it matters if you are big or small with regards to finding out your date.

Lets all hope for some June referrals!

I just checked my whole June DTC database and I see no LID's for June 1st. Does anybody have a June 1st LID?

hi canukmom, i don't know why agencies differ, but mine had told me it might be several months until we heard our LID and yet.... here we are.
also, my agency only submits once a month; if we hadn't goteen our papers to them by 2/28 we couldn't have gone in march.
we also had 6 families in march, which i believe is a high # for my agency.
i am with adoption guides.
i hope you hear your LID soon.
did you join the march DTC group?
xx~
