Yes, the server is having database issues. Again. The server people are working on it.
I don't see any new rumors yet this morning.

Main Site is down
I've got the server people working on it.
A European agency says the cut off is the 23rd, and they say that referrals were mailed Friday.
I'm giving it an R3 for now.

Denial of Service on the main site
The main site is suffering from a denial of service attack. I'm working with my server provider to try to remedy the situation.
There is a post up that travel approvals began arriving today for the most recent batch of NSN referrals.

Maybe not a DOS
Yes, the site is down again.
It might be that someone has found a backdoor into the server and is using it to do.. something. I don't know. At any rate, it might not be a DOS (Denial of Service) attack. Which actually makes me feel better.
Whatever it is, it's being worked on.
The regular site is back up again.

Yes, the site is down
I've got a ticket into my server company, but right now it looks like the site is under a DOS attack.
RK asked me who I'd ticked off (though he didn't use quite those words) and my answer was pretty long. Hmmm. I didn't do it on purpose. It just kind of worked out that way.
The news is bad this morning for the Steven Curtis Chapman family. Their youngest daughter was killed in a tragic accident. You can read about it here. My heart goes out to the family. This will be especially hard to get through. You are supposed to be able to get angry at the person who killed your daughter, and they can't really do that. My condolences go out to the entire family.

The site is moving to a new server
I'm moving the site up to a bigger/better/faster server and there is going to be a little bit of down time while it happens.
I'm told it will take from one to two hours, though they hope it will be closer to one hour.
If there is anything important that comes up during that time I'll post it here.

New Information
My site is down. I've got a support ticket in but I'm betting we have once again gone beyond the constraints of the server I am on.
What's going on with referrals? The latest post on the blog has a West Coast agency calling families with LID's of 11/7 with their referrals.
I have heard of an East Coast company expecting a package tomorrow. This package was mailed yesterday. Do we think that the courier service is just really on the ball and managed to get the West Coast agencies delivered in one day? If so then the agencies not on the West Coast will probably have to wait until tomorrow.
Also, so far everyone who has reported getting their call has an 11/7 LID. I know the agency of two of these people and it is the same agency. I'd be interested in seeing agency names (privately, not on the blog or forum) to see if more than one agency received their package.

New server / old server
I know of three people who are still being directed to the old site. I'm sure there are probably more.
Your ISP is solely responsible for where you are pointed when you type in the address. I was told it can take as long as 72 hours, but that most ISP's refresh their cache within that time frame.
I'm told to think of the DNS listings like a phone book. So, you type in a name and your ISP looks up that name and gets the number and then goes to that number. They download (or cache) the DNS listings every so often as that makes the lookup process faster for them. As long as they are using their old copy of listings, they will send you to the old site. You won't see the new site until they start using the new listing.
I don't know if it will help, but you can always write or call your ISP and see if they can do something for you.
