The Swedish Rumor

As can be seen in several of the comments, the Swedish families apparently got a letter saying the wait is now 13 months and could soon be between 16 and 18 months. Apparently their 13 month timeframe is from DTC and when you will be home with your child. They aren't saying it will be 13 months, they are saying it is 13 months now. This family was LID 4/22 and will be coming home soon. So they are right at 11 months. Perhaps it takes longer for the people in Sweden to be able to travel? Or, maybe the people being referred now can be expected to have that 13 months time frame. Well, this family was LID 4/27 and will be arriving home April 6th, which puts them at 11.5 months. Add to that the time from DTC to LID and you're almost there. Hmmm. At any rate, they are saying it is currently 13 months and could be 16 to 18. So, no matter what they are measuring, simple math says they are actually predicting the wait will stretch from 3 to 5 months longer than it is now. That would royally suck.
