Bethany rumor
Someone using Bethany was told that the worst case scenario for a 7/26 LID is the end of May.

Good lord, woman, I am getting whiplash reading all these conflicting rumors--and I don't even have an LID! Sooner or later, we'll find out the reality, eh?
From what I am hearing this sounds right on track.
I know Kate. I'm thinking I'll start a grading/points system and do it like a basketball game... it feels like a basketball game.. the "good rumors" score a basket, and then the "bad rumors" rebound and race down the court to score again.. then the good rumors grab it and take off, only to be intersected at mid court and taken back down to the "bad rumor" side to score again.
All of the rumors cannot be true. The scary thing is that for the past couple of months the worst rumors have turned out to be true... but I keep telling myself this just cannot continue.
I spoke with Bethany (my agency) just yesterday (LID 6/29). I was told by my SW just last week that there was a good chance I would have my referral this month (end March/early April). I personally couldn't see that but entertained the idea.
The June board is exploding with conflicting information so I decided to go straight to the horse's mouth and spoke with the Int'l desk. They aren't as hopeful for a referral this month but are more so for next month.
Bottom line.... who the heck knows what will happen... they can analyze prior history but the only constant lately is the randomness...We could say they are only doing 2 weeks at a time but if you look at all the referrals that came in January... sigh.... at least I do know we are getting closer to our LID every day. : )
or maybe a star system to rate rumors! a crediable rumor that sees likely...4 stars...off the wall-never gonna happen...one and a half.
ahh...the things we do to pass the time!
It appears the trend lately with the agencies is to give everyone worst case scenario or the most hesitant of information. I think it's because they don't want people to get hopes up. And certainly they don't want to be bombarded with phone calls from upset waiting families.
I am with Bethany and I simply don't believe it. For all our sakes, I would hope it's true, but just don't think it is.
I do think we'll see referrals start going to full half months now.
